At the airport

Cape Town International has got a new system for travellers. They thought the best way to streamline the security check system, it to make only one security point, and let everybody snake through it to get to the 10 checkpoints. This all sounds very sophisticated and 1st world, however the problem is that this system operates in South Africa. So there is only 3 checkpoints working and about 5 people showing you where to walk. This causes a line to form all the way into and past the check in counters. I must admit though that the line did move quite east and we were lab rats for a very short period. Well off to happy Joburg again!
