Now we are a real country

On Friday I took the Gautrain from OR Tambo to Sandton. It was great. It felt like I was in another country, like I was taking a train in Barcelona or something. I also took the bus service from Cape Town city centre to the airport which was amazing. However, on my return I was stranded at the airport as the lady in town had told me tha train runs 24 hours, but when I tried to take it at 00:40, I realised that the last bus left at 00:00

And then

We went to go and see the 2 white lion cubs.

On my recent sales trip

I stayed at Tanda Tula and the lodge was fantastic. We went on a game drive and saw a whole pack of Wild Dogs. Something you almost never see. Then while we were watching them, they started hunting this troop of impala. We didn't see them catch anything, but it was exciting to see them chase.

On the way

We decided to do the fan walk this evening because we were too poor to get tickets for the match. It was very cool but very busy. There were hundreds and thousands of people. This has been the most amazing month in our city. Can we have another world cup next year?

The truth revealed

Believe it or not....This world cup is already determined by the numbers....

1. Brazil won the World Cup in 1994; before that they also won in 1970.Adding 1970 + 1994= 3964

2. Argentina won its last World Cup in 1986; before that they also won in 1978.Adding 1978 + 1986= 3964

3. Germany won its last World Cup in 1990; before that they also won in 1974.Adding 1974 + 1990= 3964

4. Brazil also won the World Cup in 2002; before that they also won in 1962.Adding 1962+ 2002= 3964

5. Therefore if you want to know what nation is going to win the World Cup in 2010, you only have to subtract 2010 from the magic number that we have determined: 3964.

3964 minus 2010 = 1954... In 1954 the World Cup was won by Germany!!!

Probably not scientific... but pretty interesting…

The Brazil game

We are watching the Brazilians beat the Dutch... Well some of us are

The Big Game

Today is the big day. Its Brazil v Holland. There is a lot riding on this for me. My boss is supporting Holland, and one of my very good friends is Dutch / Belgian / Armenian so he obviously supports Germany....NOT...Holland all the way. I on the other hand supports a winning team.... VA BRAZIL!!!!

I have swopped my late working shift with someone else so I can tail it out of here by 16:00 and be home by 16:07 (I work very close to home), and get the Samba Party going. Brazil is going to win, but not by far. it is going to be a 2-0 win.

GO BRAZIL VA BRAZIL
